PDQ, short for People Dedicated to Quality, recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction for its new location at 1700 E. 2nd Street in Edmond.

The restaurant, which will open its initial Oklahoma location in late spring of 2017 at the Edmond site, serves up fresh, never frozen chicken tenders and nuggets; delicious made-to-order salads and sandwiches; and hand-spun milkshakes. All menu items are made to order, using only the freshest ingredients, including the restaurant’s 12 signature dipping sauces and salad dressings, which are homemade, in-house daily.

“At PDQ, freshness is the name of the game,” says Bob Basham, PDQ co-founder and the co-Founder of Outback Steakhouse. “We’re not your typical fast food restaurant, we pride ourselves on being People Dedicated to Quality. We’re committed to serving our Guests the most delicious, highest quality food and an unbeatable experience. We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring this philosophy to Oklahoma.”

Notable investors include Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks Tim Tebow and Vinny Testaverde, as well as Pro Football Hall of Famers Derrick Brooks and Eddie DeBartolo, Jr.

The 3,300 square-foot Edmond location will seat up to 100 guests and includes dine-in, to-go, drive-thru and catering options, as well as outdoor seating.

PDQ is founded on the concept that high-quality food, memorable service and genuine hospitality are the cornerstones of an excellent restaurant.
