Riverwind Hotel was well represented at the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association Stars of the Industry Awards banquet, once again being nominated in four different categories.

Renee Williams was nominated for Outstanding Front Desk Employee of the year. “Renee was among a great group of front desk employees, and although she did not win her nomination, her nomination was well deserved,” said Ronnie Krodel, General Manager, Riverwind Hotel. “She is a rock star on night audit”.

Jimmy Pacheco was nominated for Outstanding Manager/Supervisor of the Year. “Jimmy won this award in 2015,” said Ronnie. “He did not win his nomination this year, but he has been a great employee and leads by example every single day.”

Juana Hernandez was nominated for Outstanding Lodging Employee of the Year. “Juana did not take home the award this year,” said Ronnie, “but she has been a great asset to our “Dream Team” at the Riverwind Hotel, delivering exceptional quality service to our guests, giving them a reason to want to return,” said Ronnie. “She has contributed her thoughts and ideas in order to better the workplace and always makes sure that all of the employees are well taken care of, and that they have the tools to succeed.”

Maria Doss was nominated for Outstanding Roomkeeper of the Year. “Maria has continually gone above and beyond for the Riverwind Hotel to ensure that our property is the best that it can be every day”, said Ronnie. “Maria is a great, hard-working employee who always comes in for her scheduled shifts, is on time, and will come in on days off when needed. Maria always has a smile on her face and maintains a positive attitude with her managers and coworkers, bringing a positive attitude to the workplace. She works hard every day delivering extraordinary customer service to ensure Riverwind Hotel stays number one on Trip Advisor. Maria was our only winner this year. It was very well deserved. In my four years here at the Riverwind Hotel, we have won an award every year, and we have won every category except Food and Beverage. My employees do an amazing job of representing both the hotel, and Traditions Spirits every day. We have invested time and interest in our employees and continue to be genuine with them. If you genuinely care, your team will follow you anywhere. We always want each guest experience to be unique, because it’s what makes us who we are and drives our success.”
